Whilst working at the Tour Operator I went on a sales trip to visit a number of travel agents ‘up north’. This was my first trip to the north of England and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but clearly the picture in my (very naive) head was fairly grim.
As we drove into Sheffield I was horrified to see hundreds of tiny houses on the side of a hill. “Oh my god!” I exclaimed “I had no idea that’s how people live up here”. To which my greatly amused colleague replied “Have you not seen pigeon coops before Sarah?” Ooops – sorry Sheffield.
LESSON: NEVER PREJUDGE
