Many people seem fascinated by my company name – Sleeping Lion – and ask what the story is behind it. One of the main reasons that I set up my own company was my sheer frustration with many of the people I had worked with/for over the years. You know the ones, people who do a great job of looking frightfully busy, but strangely achieve very little.
I remembered a fantastic quote that I heard a few years back that really summed it up (‘Never Confuse Movement With Process’) and that was the essence I wanted to build my consultancy around. So what better to represent the opposite to the corporate headless chicken than the majestic Sleeping Lion – cool, calm and confident, holding power in reserve to be channelled precisely and emphatically as and when required. It helps inspire me every single day!
Sleeping Lion was launched in 2005 allowing me the flexibility to work with a variety of organisations helping them with marketing, business development, social media and training. My specialist areas are Hospitality, Spa and Membership Marketing, underpinned by a strong Sales background.
