For the last six years, I have sponsored a lovely girl from Ghana called Batieka through Action Aid. 

She sends through updates 2 or 3 times a year and they are always a delight.  In yesterday’s message, she shared a wonderful tale about the fun they had at this year’s Independence Day celebrations. 

She wrote “The local people have their share as they entertain with different types of dances.  Some people were only drinking off their heads, as many people were found drunk due to happiness”.

This just confirms that all these years I have been tipsy because of too much happiness (it was nothing to do with the excess of white wine!).
